Proeminar Verteilte Echtzeitsysteme

This introductory seminar explores current developments in communication and networking, emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence. It is recommended for students in their 4th or 5th semester.

  • (Deep) Reinforcement learning for communication

Learning objectives:

The students have a comprehensive understanding of a computer science or communications topic equivalent to the 4th or 5th semester of the bachelor's program. They are capable of conducting research using fundamental literature, writing a term paper, and presenting their findings orally. Additionally, they are familiar with relevant literature sources, the fundamentals of academic work, and effective presentation techniques. They can also critically follow and evaluate presentations given by others.

Prerequisites:

Students are advised to have a basic understanding of main concepts in communictaion systems and statistics. This proseminar will be held in English only. This also means that the final paper and presentation need to be delivered in English.

Summer term

The first date of the seminar is the 9th April 2025 (16:00 - 17:15).

Important: Confirm your participation in person at the first meeting, otherwise your place will be given to someone else. Attendance will be mandatory for all planned sessions.
